Designated for preservation
Pollack House is a building with unique historical significance. It is one of the houses of Ahuzat Bayit, the settlement that marked the beginning of the establishment of the city of Tel Aviv. For years, this beautiful two-story structure housed historical figures and organizations — such as the Zionist Commission and the first restaurant in Ahuzat Bayit — that helped to shape the history of the city and the Yishuv, Israel’s pre-state Jewish settlement. The structure, which is designated for preservation, reflects the typical construction style of the early days of Tel Aviv real estate.
Y Box is refurbishing this venerable building, while preserving its historical character. The ground floor will contain shops and restaurants. The second floor will contain a boutique hotel and offices.
Update: The refurbishment of Pollack House, the landmark building located at 20 Ahad Ha’am Street in Tel Aviv, is near completion.
